PKC is looking for a software engineer who can help us secure our client’s APIs. This involves both the ability to conduct assessments and find vulnerabilities in existing APIs, as well as the ability to write production-quality code to fix those vulnerabilities in whatever language they’re written in. You’re a fit if you naturally are drawn to computer security, but you also really enjoy coding. You also like pointing out errors in other people’s code.
Requirements:
1-2 years of developer experience.
Polyglot - enjoy writing code in a multitude of languages, whether it be Ruby, Python, Javascript, or Go.
Deep understanding of the OWASP Top 10, or the ability to quickly learn it. Go ahead, do that right now and apply :)
Basic understanding of cryptography (stream vs block ciphers, public keys, TLS), or willingness to learn. Go ahead, take Coursera’s Cryptography I course with Dan Boneh, right now https://www.coursera.org/learn/crypto. You’ll love it!
